Groundhogs Day.

July 12 2009 04

I can honestly say today was the longest day of my life… Beginning in Brisbane, Australia at 7 am on the 12th of July with just enough time to pack and say my goodbyes/thanks to Wally and Julia. Then I headed out the door to take my first of three flights, this one to Nadi, Fiji.

Landing in Fiji an hour late was quite alright with me as my layover was scheduled to be six and a half hours. During said layover I planned to leave the airport and head to the beach for a couple beers…. And trying to sneak past customs wasn’t the smartest thing I’ve ever done…

However, being confined to the airport lounge wasn’t the worse thing to ever happen to me and I took a little time to finish my book (Things Fall Apart) and have a couple of Fiji Gold’s. TimeĀ  seemed to fly by with a two hour conversation with a complete stranger from Canadian and multiple shared Fiji Gold’s. But as the clock struck midnight in Fiji I was again off on another flight, back in time…
